Australien, Neu Seeland, Fiji & Singapur

Irgendwo auf meiner ersten "großen" Reise bin ich wohl von einem "Reiskäfer" gezwickt worden. Seither glaube ich immer wieder vom Reisen selbst geheilt zu sein, aber gelegentlich setzt das Fieber wieder ein und ich kann mich dessen Auswirkungen nur hingeben - ich Reise!

Somewhere on my first "big" journey I must have been bitten from the "Travelbug". Since then  I think I got cured from all this travelling, but now and then there is some kind of a fever and I have to take the results of it - I travel!

Der erste Trip führt mich also nach Australien. Darwin ist die Anfangsstatt der 6 monatige Australienreise. Per Bus geht es dann nach Cairns wo ich mir ein Fahrrad zulege um damit zuerst nach Port Douglas im Norden zu fahren. 2500 km später wir mir in einem Hostel in Brisbane mein Fahrrad geklaut. Hmmmm. Rucksack und weiter geht's per Auto, Mitfahrgelegenheit, Bus, Inlandsflug und Wandern bewege ich mich ein halbes Jahr durch das herrliche Australien.

My fist big trip takes me to Australia. Darwin ist the first City where the 6 month odysse throu Australia starte. By bus I travel to Cairns where I buy a bicycle (push bike). First I ride north to Port Douglas and in total about 2500 km later my bike gets stolen in a Hostel in Brisbane. Hmmm. I buy a Backpack and continue by ca, hitchhiking, bus indlandflight and hiking a half a year around great Australia.

Neu Seeland bereise ich nach genauer Kartenbetrachtung mit einem in Christchurch mir angeschafften Kajak auf dem Dach meines Toyota Kombi. In Napier findet genau dann das Art-Deco-Wochenende statt, im Waytomo mache ich Blackwater-Rafting und hüpfe im Tandem aus einem Flugzeug. Ein paar Wochen Fiji bilden den entspannenden Abschluss der Reise bevor ich auf einem Zwischenstop in Singapore einen Kulturschock erlebe.

New Zealand I decide to discover, afer checking the maps of NZ out, by kayak on the roof of my Toyota  Stationwagon. In Napier the Art-Deco-Weekend is happening when I am there, I go blackwater-Rafting and jump (tandem) our of a Plane. Some relaxing weeks I spend on Fiji islands bevor I have a culutre shock in Singapore on my way back home.
